The Flax Mill team has not missed a beat in their move to Brandenburg and the shuttle is again ‘flying’, weaving the best of linen under the expert eye of Marion Baur. Many thanks to Petra Weber for taking some great photos of Marion at the loom (see below) during her latest creation, exclusively made for Sinead Black of Bricolage Quilts, Belfast.
The linen will be fully hand woven by Marion on her English-made “Don Porritt” loom and is an amazing and unusual design. The yarn used is 100% Irish, home-grown and spun by Irish spinners. The cloth will of course be finished without recourse to any chemicals except nature’s own clear water.
